Lancie Faith Kear is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter, poet, choreographer, student, and freshman attending the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford. She was born and raised in
Montgomery County, MD. At the age of 3, her passion for singing developed, influencing her to join several organizations. To name a few, Strathmore Children's Chorus, County Honors Chorus, Paint Branch High School Show Choir, and Harvest Intercontinental Olney's youth and adult choir. Lancie is very passionate about community service and lending a helping hand to those who are in need. Given many opportunities to demonstrate her leadership skills, Lancie has served as Student Director of her middle school's music production called Rock 'n'Soul and Captain of her high school step team. As well as Team Captain while participating in Fashion Boot Camp, a modeling program designed to build confidence and advance performing techniques. Lancie was blessed to have represented the Montgomery County Maryland NAACP Branch as a two-time local Gold Medalist for poetry performance in the NAACP ACT-SO Arts& Entertainment Steamage Intensive in Hollywood. She was selected to perform during the NAACP Non-televised Image Awards Dinner, attended master classes, and worked on a project that showcased Black Excellence. Lancie's greatest accomplishment is being a believer and child of God, allowing God to use her and the gifts He has given her to share his message with the world. |
